In 2019 I had the opportunity to spend eight weeks bouldering in Rocklands, South Africa. It was the first time in my life as a mom when I was not with my son AND not working. What to do with all this “disconnected” time? Hello introspection. After many hours of reflection I began to realize I’d kind of just been going through the motions for the past few years and while happy, I wasn’t living my life with intention like I had in the past.
At the end of the trip, I made the decision to move back to Boulder after trialing a year living in Carbondale, out on the western slope. I promised myself I’d be thoughtful and intentional with each choice I made moving forward: It’s wild how my life started to change.
Finding the right job at the right company was more important to me than ever before. The company I was seeking would care about its people, embody a give first mentality, and foster a sense of inclusion. I wanted to work with people who are the best at what they do. Who you work with, the kind of work you’re intentional about doing, and how it makes you feel are critical to being your own best self.
I was hungry to be challenged outside of my comfort zone. I wanted to keep learning and growing. I wanted to make an impact.
At Delta-v I found all of the above, and so much more.
